Can I stay with my child during their art session?
Most of our classes are drop-off. We find that young artists work best when they are dropped off and can jump into instruction and artmaking right away. Our studio is designed with safety and security in mind, with limited access and instructors who always put safety first, by being fully focused on students and teaching at all times.
What is your sick child policy?
KEEP THEM HOME. If your child had a fever or vomited in the last 24 hours, they are contagious and we beg you not to bring them until they have cleared the 24-hour fever-free mark. It’s our duty to send them home if they are ill, and you can expect a call asking you to pick them up immediately. Contact us to organize a make up.

What about snacks and drinks for kids?
During our Spring/Fall CLASSES we prefer for young artists to finish snacks and drinks before entering the studio for the safety of other’s artwork. It is a good idea to give them a snack before class, as they seem to get really hungry making art!

For ALL Art CAMPS please bring a peanut-free snack (due to possible allergies) and a drink.

What is your inclement weather policy?
For all weekday courses, classes, camps, open studios, and paint events:
We follow Guildford County Public Schools regarding inclement weather events. If GCPS are closed due to a weather event, our studio will also be closed. You will be notified via email and updated Facebook and Instagram posts. We will make every effort to schedule a make-up for any missed class(es).

For weekend classes, open studios, and events/private parties:
Our owner will make the call to cancel at least one hour before the scheduled event. You will be notified via email or phone and we will make every effort to reschedule.
Do you have studio rules for younger artists?
Because we want everyone to feel safe and comfortable while creating at Indigo Art Studio, we follow three main rules: 1. Be a good listener 2. Stay in your own work area 3. Respect the instructor and your fellow artists.
